We have got some of the most accomplished musicians and DJs from around the world heading to the South Downs - give them your undivided attention for one set and we have got no doubt the vibes and endorphins from dancing alone will give you a buzz.

I pledge to experience at least one set, one performance, or one moment each day completely sober. No alcohol, no illegal drugs, nothing.

Not as punishment. Not as a detox. As proof. Proof that the music, the art, the theatre and the people are the real thing and that I do not need anything else to access it.

Bristol Sober Spaces

​As you may know, Bristol Drugs Project are coming to Boomtown this year. They will be based at the campsite hubs and roaming around the campsite providing drugs and alcohol advice to festival goers.

Bristol Sober Spaces is an initiative run directly by the Bristol Drugs Project as part of their Creative Communities arts program, created to host inclusive, alcohol- and drug-free music events and club nights for people in recovery and the wider community.

They have been kind enought to build us a guide on how to festival sober.
