Meal Time

On your days in the South Downs National Park, make a mealtime routine with your festival family. 

Each year, we get genuinely excited about the number of amazing food stalls there are at Boomtown. You can get Indian street food, spicy Caribbean comfort food, burger van classics and much more. Whoever says eating is cheating is frankly a moron.

By getting at least 2 solid meals a day, you replenish your body’s vitamins, salts and electrolytes that fuel a full recovery. Not eating properly makes recovery longer and harder, as your body has no fuel to rebuild.

Hydration

On top of this, meal time with your pals is a time to regulate your body and check in with them and engage with the excitement of the day!

Don’t forget that you can get free water from all of our water taps and at all the bars so make sure you bring a refillable water bottle with you, and there is no limit on how many soft drinks you can bring so make sure you take some so you have a tasty alternative to alcohol. 

A great hack is sports drinks such as Lucozade Sport. High-glucose sports drinks can be beneficial by providing a source of energy and aiding in faster fluid and electrolyte absorption.
