Traveling to the festival accounts for about 80% of a festival’s total carbon footprint. We’ve set ourselves the challenge of reducing this down to at least 50% over the next three years. A third of our audience already travels to the Boomtown gates by public transport but that’s just not enough so we’ve added more travel options this year to make your road trip as easy as possible.
Boomtown Fair is held at the Matterley Estate near Winchester, Hampshire, SO21 1HW.
We’ve teamed up with National Express to offer everyone reasonably priced coach travel from over 50 locations around the country directly to the festival coach park! Relax all the way to the festival and snooze all the way home on Monday.
If you’ve already booked your coach ticket through our website, you can expect to receive your travel ticket from National Express within 6 weeks of booking. E-tickets will be emailed to the lead buyer’s email address. Coach departure times will be detailed on your coach e-ticket. If you wish to amend your time, contact National Express on 0871 781 8181.
Don’t forget any festival ticket holder can book a coach - not just Coach Festival Travellers!
COACHES FROM FRANCE
Our French travel partners Ontours will again be offering coaches from several locations in France. For more info or to purchase a coach package, check their website here. Tickets will be on sale from the 1st November.
PRIVATE HIRE COACHES

If you'd like to come by private hire on Wednesday it is 12 seats + please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange with the title 'Wednesday Private Hire'
BY TRAIN & SHUTTLE BUS
If you decide to travel by train you can take advantage of our shuttle service which runs from Winchester train station directly to the festival site very frequently! Return tickets can be bought with cash on the day for £10.
