General Levy

General Levy is a highly influential English ragga MC whose energetic style helped shape the UK drum and bass scene. He rose to mainstream fame in 1994 with “Incredible,” his collaboration with M-Beat, which reached No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart and later featured in Ali G Indahouse and a Honda advert. Growing up in London, Levy immersed himself in dancehall culture, releasing early material through Fashion Records and working with producers like Lloydy Crucial and Robbo Ranx. A regular presence on major sound systems, he also collaborated with dub legend Joe Ariwa and artists ranging from Suggs to Mark Morrison. In recent years, Levy has remained relevant through collaborations with Chase & Status and Fedde Le Grand. His 2022 autobiography Incredible reflects his lasting impact on British music.
