David Rodigan

David Rodigan MBE is a towering figure in British reggae culture, celebrated for over 40 years of passionate broadcasting, DJing and global influence. First inspired by ska in the early 1960s, Rodigan developed an encyclopaedic knowledge of Jamaican music that underpinned his rise from school gym DJ to international sound system champion. He launched his radio career at BBC Radio London in 1978, later hosting landmark shows on Capital Radio, Kiss 100, BFBS, BBC 1Xtra and BBC Radio 2. Renowned for historic sound clashes, worldwide touring and unique dub plates, Rodigan is a Sony Hall of Fame inductee, multiple award winner, bestselling author, and recipient of an MBE for services to broadcasting.

D Double E

D Double E is the emcee’s MC. Among his peers and grime fans he comfortably sits as one of the top 3 selected mic controllers of all time.

Hollie Cook

Hollie Cook is a London based reggae singer known for her lush, love soaked songs and a sound she once dubbed “tropical pop.” Raised on girl group harmonies and Motown before falling for lovers rock and rocksteady, she found her voice through London’s soundsystem culture and an influential stint touring with Ari Up and The Slits. Her acclaimed debut with producer Prince Fatty led to a series of albums blending soulful reggae with experimental touches. Now, with her fifth album Shy Girl, Cook returns to her roots, tight grooves, warm melodies, and heartfelt vulnerability crafting her most open and authentic work yet.

Irah

Irah is one of the most influential MCs and vocalists to emerge in recent years. Known for his distinctive sound and authentic lyricism, he is set to grace Boomtown this August alongside contemporaries D Double E and Hollie Cook. With Sir David Rodigan behind the decks, nothing but carnage can be expected.
