Joshua Idehen

Joshua Idehen is a British-born Nigerian poet, spoken word artist, and musician known for fusing powerful lyricism with jazz and electronic music. He has featured on Mercury and MOBO-nominated albums by The Comet Is Coming and Sons of Kemet, and collaborated with artists like Metronomy, Daedelus, and Alabaster DePlume. His 2023 mixtape Learn To Swim was praised as “a poetic masterpiece” (Afropunk), and in 2024 he followed up with the Mum Does The Washing EP—blending poetry with club beats. Deeply human and emotionally resonant, Idehen’s work explores love, resilience, and identity through vivid storytelling and bold sonic experimentation.
