Changemaker Coordinator
Our Changemaker Coordinators will be responsible for ensuring our volunteers are engaging our citizens in conversations about sustainability, ecobonds, agents of change and all of our green initiatives at Boomtown whilst they are in the campsites. The volunteers will be expected to engage in these conversations through a combination of surveys, quizzes and fun facts.
You will be based at our Campsite Help Points and will be the conduit and base for our volunteers. You will be the escalation pathway upwards to the Changemaker Manager and Deputy Manager for any incidents these groups come across whilst out on site and you will be the base for all sustainability related information. Citizens must also be encouraged to approach you to learn more about our sustainability aims and to learn more about what it means to be an Agent of Change and how to become one.
You will be the first point of contact for the Changemaker volunteers - volunteer teams will vary in size from between 15 - 20 volunteers. You will empower them with all sustainability information that is required, organise them as appropriate into groups of no smaller than 2 and also pass onto the Deputy Manager / Changemaker Manager any concerns or queries.
A thorough and invested knowledge of our green policies and expectations is key - packs will be provided and briefed to you on Tuesday during our briefing session.
As part of your role you will also need to have a basic knowledge of your surrounding area and the resources at your disposal.

You will be based in our hub within the Changemakers Campsite as a port of call for the 115 volunteers but during live days will be expected to be actively visiting all campsites and liaising with coordinators making sure they are fully supported and information is fluid and easily accessible to them, you will also need to ensure the stock of ecobond bin bags is at a good level. Thrutopia Workshop Applications
After an incredible first year; wonderful connections made, inspiring teachings and endless creativity; Thrutopia will be returning and we'd love to hear from you.
The concept of Thrutopia has been inspired by conversations our creative team has had with the inspiring author Manda Scott. Here’s a brief introduction to her teachings on Thrutopias.
Imagine waking up excited for the day because life feels full of possibility. For many people, that kind of joy feels out of reach. We live in a world shaped by stress, fear, and systems that don't work for most people or the planet.
But it hasn't always been this way. Across history, some communities chose to live more fairly, more creatively, and more in harmony with nature. We've just stopped telling those stories.
Now, with climate change and rising inequality, it's clear we need a new direction. And stories are one of the most powerful ways to show what's possible. They help us imagine a future that's better for everyone.
If we want real change, we need stories that inspire it, and anyone can be part of that. It starts with imagining something better.
If you have a workshop idea that resonates with this district, we'd love to hear from you.
The deadline for applications is the Friday 30th January 2026
