Copper County

Slowie is one of Bristol’s grime originals with a pedigree backed by noughties appearances at Sidewinder and ILUVLIVE. Embracing his native West Country vernacular to the fullest and skilfully storytelling while rapidly switching from the menacing to the humorous.

Following a break from music to focus on fatherhood Slowie announced his return to the music game in late 2015 with an appearance on the 'Durkle Disco Vol 1' mixtape. Since then he’s released music alongside Lamont on legendary label Swamp 81 (‘Ar Kid’) and has been going hard with a relentless list of radio rave and festival appearances. A Rinse FM regular (blessing the Marcus Nasty Grime Originals Swamp81 & Keysound shows this year alone) he’s also touched mic on BBC Radio 1Xtra Reprezent Radio and Mode FM and performed live at Westfest Love Saves The Day and Nass Festival - all while racking up club bookings from Bristol to Leeds. Slowie stepped up in 2018 with his long-awaited debut solo EP ‘Snakes & Blaggers’ on Durkle Disco with critical acclaim. Slowie is keeping focused with a new project almost finished ready to drop in 2019.
