Jada Kingdom already has the world standing to attention. The stunning 20 yr-old Jamaican singer/ songwriter, born to a Bajan Mother and Jamaican/Nigerian Father, has always stood out from the crowd. Overflowing with creativity and confidence from a young age, Jada started singing when she was 8 - inspired by an eclectic mix of artists such as Minnie Riperton, Deniece Williams and Sam Cooke. The depth of emotion and feeling those artists sang about are clearly visible in Jada’s own work, which belies her youth.
Growing up in 7 Miles, Bull Bay, Jamaica, Jada’s entertainment career began at 17 when she was cast as the female lead in the video for platinum recording artist Sean Kingston’s “One Away” song, garnering international attention and propelling the video to over 6 million views.
After being told parts of her body were too big all her young life, Jada’s head-turning, 100% natural figure has drawn attention since a young age. In an era of body modification, Jada embraced the body-shamers and set about building out a strong platform on social media - her verified instagram page @ Ms.Kingdom is 460,000 strong, with a strong emphasis on female empowerment and body confidence. Jada released her debut single and video - ‘Love Situations,’ on July 21, 2017. The track was mixed by legendary engineer Rich Keller, who mixed iconic albums from Biggie Smalls, DMX, Jay Z, Swiss Beatz etc. The creative approach of the critically- acclaimed video had an instant impact and currently has 3 millions views, an amazing achievement for anY artist’s first release. Her follow-up single/video ‘Unwanted’ also broke new ground with its Christmas Day release, trending #1 on Youtube for several days after. The songs were part of a ‘quadrilogy’ of songs and videos that told an unfolding story and captured the imagination of millions of eyes and ears, as part of her avant grade EP ‘Wull On.’ Jada’s captivating voice and content have quickly caught the attention of major labels in the US. That attention led to Universal Music signing and releasing her last two singles - Wull On and Best You Ever Had.
With tremendous support from Spotify, who have added Jada’s music to several high profile playlists, as well as from Apple Music/Beats1 radio and the huge fan love for her VEVO channel, Jada has amassed over 12 million streams in just the first year of her career.
