Formed in 2005 Devon punk-roots country bumpkins Crazy Arm didn't know what they wanted to be when they grew up so they decided to throw everything against the wall to see what stuck. The result is a creative grizzly and sprawling mess of folk-song post/hardcore Americana punk rock and heartland rock’n’roll combined with a grass-roots anti-fascist slant.
Each of their three long-players on Xtra Mile Recordings 'Born To Ruin' ('Stunning': Kerrang!) 'Union City Breath' ('A triumph': Punktastic) and 'The Southern Wild' ('A glorious surprise': R2) has showcased a band at the top of their game and made them many fans around the globe. They have released eight singles including a 7” for Record Store Day on Household Name Recs. Since 2013 Crazy Arm have also proffered stripped-down acoustic sets that highlight their folk-roots and bluegrass influences. Third album 'The Southern Wild' was the result of this venture. Countless UK and European tours/dates with the likes of Against Me! Larry & His Flask, Restorations, Frank Turner, Chuck Ragan, Murder By Death, Sonic Boom Six and Boysetsfire.
Crazy Arm is more a collective of musicians right now with original members Darren Johns and Jon Dailey at the helm. There are no less than ten other people who share touring and recording duties. The band are currently in the studio working on their fourth album 'Dark Hands Thunderbolts' scheduled for release in autumn 2018.
