Statixs
Brand new Bristol dubstep pioneers, ‘Statix’ are taking the electronic music scene by storm. Only a few months into the projected first founded by Ross Burr (Rossy) in late 2008, and they are already headlining at such venues like Bristol’s clockwork and gaining great interest from producers and MC’s big in the game such as Mc Dread and Wedge (HENCH)
‘Statix’, which consists of the five members, Jon Weeks (Basquan), Eddie Chuong (Tojo) and Mc’s Shadz & Frilla, have already had their music set to be released Bristol label, Screwloose Records and have future releases lined up with artists such as Kosheens Sian Evans!
Soon after Ross and Jon started producing together under the name of Statix, Eddie was the next member to join, to complete this unique sounding dubstep they are pioneering. Mc’s Shadz and Frilla were the two final members to recently join the Statix crew adding the missing element of vocals to compliment the music in a perfect way.
Statix are quickly gaining a great following of music lovers and are working hard in their own newly built studio/rehearsal space on a Statix live band, focussing on a lot of the music technology side of performance. This project will include live visuals, dancers; more than 15 members and much more!
It is fair to say that Statix are on the road to success in the world on dance music. They are a great group of musicians who are determined to succeed and who’s to say that Statix will only limit themselves to dubstep? If this much can be achieved in just a few months, then who knows what will be achieved in the future.
