Jake Martin

Jake Martin is an energetic and charismatic folk punk singer/songwriter from the UK. Jake intelligently blends the art of story telling; depicting tales of life, love, and the road, with dark satire, politics, and his own cheeky brand of cider fuelled humour. Add Jake's witty ability to captivate and animate any room of strangers, his memorable sing along anthems, and the occasional bit of furniture climbing, and the result is an electrifying “every show like it’s the last” performance.

After 8 years founding and fronting popular Brighton-based Skacore outfit The Junk, touring the UK and Europe several times over, and building a large loyal fan base, in 2014 Jake decided to start writing as a solo artist. His debut EP “For F**k’s sake Jake” was released in September 2014 through "Aaahh Real Records", and since then Jake has toured relentlessly; sharing stages with the likes of Ferocious Dog, Roughneck Riot, Funke and the Two Tone Baby, Louise Distras, Smokey Bastard, Gaz Brookfield, Nick Parker, Doozer Mcdooze, Maelor Hughes, Ducking Punches, Rob Lynch, The Slackers, and The JB Conspiracy, to name a few.

UK based "Aaahh Real Records" released his full debut album "We Take Them at Dawn" in March 2016, and eager to pursue audiences worldwide, Jake traveled through Asia, headlining a month long tour across Australia during June, and released his album through Australian "Dead Memory Records". In August he returned to the UK for a mini England tour and a handful of festivals, before heading to Europe, playing shows in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Germany throughout September and October, then returning home for a full UK tour in November and December.

2017 sees Jake returning to Europe in April, heading back home for a UK tour in May, and the USA in June...with a whole variety of UK based festivals and tour dates up to up to October when Jake heads back to Slovakia for yet another tour!
