Hodmadoddery's music could be described as Folk Music: some of it's traditional, some of it's quite familiar if you know that sort of stuff very well (but not if not). From their mis-spent youth on the Free Festival circuit in the '80s, they'd probably call it 'Festival Folk', though not as in "Folk Festival”.
They go quite well along with the newer waves of acoustic & folk-ish-ism. Wyrd, even. At least a little woozy. They formed all those years ago to play every 2 weeks in a notorious Bath Cider House (now closed) where they were paid in scrumpy. They got good playing the street a lot and they're still really bloody good.
