Few have had a debut year quite as strong as D-DOTs. Straight after the self-release of his debut EP in February, he was snapped up by DJ Shiftee’s Brooklyn based imprint ‘Hot Mom USA’, where in August they released ‘Gyal is Dead’. This single went on to have major BBC R1 and Apple Beats 1 support from heavyweights Diplo, Anna Lunoe, and Baauer, and just 2 months later was followed up by a double-sided single featuring UK vocalist ‘Rider Shafique’, which again gained national radio support - this time including airplay from Toddla T.
Riding this momentum, D-DOTs headed across the pond for a coast to coast tour of the states. His energetic performances and UK-bred selection finesse saw him wow audiences from LA to DC, and landed him a spot in the studio with NYC based megastar Baauer. This has D-DOTs set up perfectly for an undeniably huge 2017 with EP featuring TT The Artist, Snappy Jit, and Kerwin Prescott, singles with both Baauer and Bunji Garlin, and a performance at Trinidad Carnival.
